What is synthetic rattan furniture?

Synthetic rattan furniture is weather-proof garden furniture that can be left outside all year round. Furniture sets made from real rattan cannot be left outside all year round, as they’d rot. Our manufacturers use the highest-quality synthetic rattan that's available. This is called polyethylene rattan, or PE rattan for short. We offer furniture sets made from three different styles of synthetic rattan weave; flat rattan, fully rounded rattan and a mixture of both.

Are cushions included?

Cushions are included in the delivery. Most of our sets come with cream-white coloured cushions. However, all of the sets in our OCEAN LINE range come with grey cushion covers. The sets in our SLEEK LINE come with mottled grey cushion covers. Not all of our ranges are produced by the same supplier. This may result in some cushion cover colour match issues. Please contact us for futher details. Please note that the scatter cushions depicted in some images are for illustrative purposes only.

Can I machine wash the cushion covers?

Most of our cushion covers can be removed and machine washed at 30°. The exceptions to this are the CALIPSO, ENIGMA, EMMA, VELIA L, XL and LIVIA L, XL sets. The cushion covers on these sets can't be removed as they have buttons sewn on.

Can I order extra cushion covers?

Yes. You have the option to order red, black, grey, green or an extra set of cream-white cushion covers as an extra. The production and delivery of extra cushion covers take around 6-8 weeks. Extra cushion covers cannot be ordered for the following sets: CALIPSO, ENIGMA, EMMA, VELIA L, XL and LIVIA L, XL.

Are the cushions water-proof?

While our rattan furniture sets are weather-proof, our cushions are not. They are water-resistant, but not water-proof. We recommend storing the cushions indoors when not in use.

Can I visit an ARTELIA showroom?

We are a purely online business and keep our prices low by not having any showrooms or retail stores. You are welcome to request a swatch of our rattan (see above).

Can I get a copy of my receipt/invoice?

When you make a purchase with ARTELIA, we will send you an acknowledgement of your order, and as soon as we have despatched your order, we will send you your invoice.

When will my rattan furniture set be delivered?

If your furniture set is in stock and payment has been received, we aim to deliver within 5 working days! See Delivery.

The furniture set I like is not in stock at the moment. Can I pre-order it?

Of course! Just click ‘reservation for 2021’ when you reach the checkout section of our website. If you’d prefer to place your order over the phone, one of our customer service advisors will be able to help you further. You don’t have to pay anything until your set arrives in stock. We’ll send you a payment email asking you to arrange payment as soon as your order has arrived at our warehouse.

Can I change my order?

If your order has not yet been dispatched, it is possible to change it at no cost. However, we process orders quickly, and as soon your order has been sent to the warehouse for preparation, it will be sent out automatically and you will need to return the goods to us as per our returns policy; in this case, a collection charge will be levied.

Do ARTELIA products require assembly?

The majority of ARTELIA furniture sets are delivered fully assembled. The exceptions to this are the sets DORA, SHEMSOO, HOOSKI, ZOOLA, CLEO, CAPRI, ELAYA S and M, CORLICANTE S, M, L, CORSIMO L , CALIPSO, LIVIA L, XL, VELIA L, XL VALENTINO M, Rosario L and the CERES sets, which require simple assembly. Full instructions are included with these sets.

How long will my furniture last?

Quality outdoor rattan garden furniture is our specialty. You may find cheap furniture elsewhere which appears similar, but ours is furniture that is comfortable, stylish and built to last. This is backed up by our 2 year guarantee against manufacturer's faults. The rattan itself is covered by a 5 year guarantee against rips or tears. You are also protected by your consumer rights under the UK Distance Selling Regulations.

Does my furniture come with a guarantee ?

ARTELIA furniture is manufactured to exceptional standards. For your peace of mind our products are covered by a 2 year guarantee . In this time period, if you notice anything wrong with your set that is the result of a manufacturing defect please let us know and we'll provide you with a replacement or arrange a partial refund. The rattan itself is covered by a 5 year guarantee against rips or tears.

How do I care for my garden furniture?

The benefit of outdoor rattan is that it is virtually maintenance free. The following tips can be used when your furniture has not been used over the winter or for long periods of time
- Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any loose dirt and dust
- Dampen a clean cloth or sponge with warm water and wipe over all of the rattan furniture. Do not clean your rattan furniture set with chemical based cleaning products.
- Once clean you can use a garden hose to rinse the furniture down. Alternatively, simply use clear water and a fresh cloth or sponge to remove the soap.
- Leave the furniture to dry, preferably outside in the sun.
We also have weather-proof covers to protect your furniture during the winter months on our website. However, please refrain from storing your cushions underneath the weather-proof cover, as this can lead to mould developing. You will be enjoying your furniture for years to come by treating it carefully. Do not place anything (glass tumblers, spectacles) that may cause magnification of sunlight directly onto the glass, as this may distort the rattan. In inclement weather please bring the cushions indoors for protection. Our furniture can be left outdoors, uncovered, all year round. If you choose to cover your furniture during the winter then visit the accessories section of our website to purchase the cover suitable for your rattan furniture. All furniture should be lifted and moved rather than dragged to prevent any damage to the product or the area in which you are using them. All glass tops are made from tempered glass. This means that should the glass break, it will crumble into small pieces with round edges. We recommend the use of coasters and mats when placing anything on the table top. Please do not store your set in a damp environment, as this can lead to mould developing. Unlike alternative wicker, wood, cast aluminium, cast iron and texteline garden furniture, ARTELIA products can be left outside all year round with little or no maintenance, however we do advise that upholstery is removed and stored indoors when not in use.

Can my furniture be easily moved around?

Our garden furniture is hand-woven over metal frames, making it surprisingly lightweight and easy to move around the garden. It also makes great indoor furniture, adding style and panache to any conservatory or garden room. This versatility gives you great indoor furniture which you can carry outside when the weather permits.
